Silicon Prairie News Gives Opportunity to Midwest Creatives

If you think the only things to come out of Nebraska are Warren Buffet, football players and corn, you would be sadly mistaken. To make sure you know of the creative energy that exists in the Midwest, Jeff Slobotski founded Silicon Prairie News in July of 2008.

“The goal of Silicon Prairie is to highlight Omaha, and the region’s, creative class,” Slobotski says. “We want to showcase the innovators, entrepreneurs, artists and musicians that make this area great. The creative class is broad.”

Day Three: The Silicon Prairie

I’d love to be able to share more from the road about the absolutely fascinating people we talk to and the interesting stories we are hearing.

Actually, it’s almost too much to process. When we’re not interviewing, setting up or tearing down or driving to the next appointment, we’re on phone or email scheduling interviews three days out and two states away.

It’s like playing multiple games of speed chess at the same time. What a great challenge to have!

Day One: How Many Power Cords Can You Carry

Well, we’ve covered four states thus far. Just the short 3-hour hop to Omaha and you can click off Kansas, Missouri, Iowa and Kansas.
